Former Salesforce CMO to lead and scale Confluent’s marketing organization to drive company through next phase of growth
Mountain View, Calif. – March 1, 2021 – Confluent, Inc., the event streaming pioneer today announced that Stephanie Buscemi will join the company as CMO. Stephanie joins Confluent from Salesforce where she most recently served as global CMO. Over her career, she has served in executive leadership and senior marketing roles within the enterprise applications, analytics and business intelligence, cloud, mobile, and database technology sectors. Stephanie’s extensive marketing and leadership experience will be instrumental to Confluent as it helps customers unlock the full power of data in motion.

As CMO of Salesforce, Stephanie led a global team of 1,400 marketers working at the intersection of product vision, a dynamic market, and a world-class sales organization. She also served as executive vice president, product marketing, at Salesforce. Prior to Salesforce, Stephanie served as CMO and SVP at IHS Inc. and SVP of Marketing at SAP, in addition to marketing leadership roles at Oracle, Business Objects, and Hyperion Solutions. Stephanie is co-author of Driven to Perform, a book for all business professionals, providing them corporate performance management tools for strategy, planning, execution, modeling, and optimization to improve their business performance.
