Explore the official Apache Kafka Docker image, optimised for size and performance, ideal for production use. Learn about its unique features like how we used Application Class Data Sharing, a JVM feature that helps reduce startup time and memory footprint. Understand its reliability through rigorous testing and regular CVE detection for security. Stay updated with each Kafka release coinciding with a Docker image release. We'll demonstrate practical applications like passing configs to Kafka within a Docker container and using Docker compose files for robust multi node cluster creation. We will discuss some real life use-cases and talk about how they can be implemented using this docker image.
This session will make users aware about the apache kafka docker image and allow them to take advantage of various benefits it offers. The attendees will get to see how this docker image can be used in a production scenario.

ConfluentI am an open source enthusiast, currently contributing to kafka and related open source projects. I have been fascinated by kafka and used it in production since the beginning of my career. This lead to my decision to join Confluent, where I got the opportunity to work on KIP-975.
Previously, I have worked at Disney+ Hotstar and Gojek, where I got the opportunity to solve some interesting engineering problems.
I also got the opportunity to participate in Open Mainframe Project's Mentorship program and spoke about my project at Open Source Summit, Lyon in 2019.
I participated in Google Code In twice as a mentor to help high school students contribute to open source projects.
I am really excited for Apache Kafka's journey ahead and will continue contributing towards it's development.

My professional journey commenced at Cisco, where I contributed to the nxos security team.
Subsequently, I joined Sumo Logic, where I played a pivotal role in the Data Collection team. I was responsible for overseeing a highly available, multi-tenant, distributed log, and metrics ingestion pipeline. Working in such a dynamic environment allowed me to sharpen my skills in handling large-scale data infrastructure and ensuring seamless data flow.
