An example is how GenAI-powered Chatbot is transforming the way patients book ambulances and efficiently access healthcare services. Apache Kafka played a critical role in consolidating and keeping contextual data updated at real time.
In a highly automated ambulance booking system, real-time information about the availability of healthcare facilities, doctors, beds, and ambulances at multiple locations was critical. However, this data was scattered across various systems like databases, data warehouses, and SaaS applications. These systems are not designed for interactive querying and did not allow easy consolidation for use by GenAI. Separate and point to point communication between these systems created challenges in creating a unified view of the data. Real Time data streaming was a viable solution to bring data from all these systems together.
