Confluent Strengthens Partnership with Google Cloud and Support for Google BigQuery

Confluent has been offering our customers the opportunity to seamlessly connect their Apache Kafka^® topics to Google BigQuery for several years. This helps accelerate data warehouse initiatives by connecting more real-time data, no matter where it lives, to BigQuery. We are continuing to invest in this integration and have recently received our Google Cloud Ready – BigQuery validation.

What does this validation mean for you?

By earning this designation, Confluent has proven that our BigQuery fully managed connector for Confluent Cloud has met a core set of functional and interoperability requirements around BigQuery. This designation enables our customers to have an additional level of confidence that this connector works seamlessly with BigQuery.

As part of the Google Cloud Ready – Big Query program, Confluent will also collaborate closely with Google partner engineering and BigQuery teams to develop joint roadmaps and continue improving our products for our joint customers. During this certification process, Google Cloud engineering teams validate our integration in a three-phase process:

1. Run a series of data integration tests and compare results against benchmarks
2. Work closely with partners to fill any gaps
3. Refine documentation to benefit our mutual customers

By continuing to drive deeper alignment with the BigQuery team we will continue to make it easier for our customers to connect and migrate hybrid and multicloud data to BigQuery to power new real-time analytics.
