Many organizations already rely on Kafka or Amazon MSK for critical workloads, but upgrades, scaling, connectors, incidents, and custom tooling can consume scarce engineering capacity. The challenge is determining how to reduce that operational burden and improve reliability without disrupting production systems, abandoning existing investments, or committing to an enterprise-wide migration before value is proven.

Join guest speakers Kris Peterson, Senior Consultant, Mike Gualtieri of Forrester, and Mike Agnich, GM and VP of Product Management at Confluent for an executive roundtable examining the findings of a Forrester Consulting Total Economic Impact™ study commissioned by Confluent, an IBM company. They’ll discuss how the representative composite organization achieved a risk-adjusted 137% ROI, $3.6 million in three-year benefits present value, a $2.1 million NPV, and payback in 10 months, as well as how leaders can identify an eligible first workload, establish a measurable baseline, account for hybrid constraints, and build a practical path toward repeatable value.

As General Manager and VP Product for Confluent's Data Streaming Platform (DSP), Mike manages a product portfolio that includes stream processing, connectors and integrations, governance, partnerships and developer tooling. Over the last eight years at Confluent, Mike has held various product leadership roles spanning Apache Kafka, Confluent Cloud and Confluent Platform working closely with customers, partners and R&D to drive adoption and execution of Confluent products. Prior to his work at Confluent, Mike was the founder and CEO of Terrain Data (acquired by Confluent in 2018). Mike earned his MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and his B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
