AS400 Gateway for Kafka

The AS400Gateway for Kafka is a connector plugin designed to integrate Kafka with the IBM i (AS400). The connector enables event-based IBM i integration with bi-directional near real time message exchange with Kafka via IBM i Data Queues, as well as providing a unique ability for direct execution of IBM i business logic without any custom IBM i or Kafka development.

Installation

Confluent Hub CLI installation

Use the Confluent Hub client to install this connector with:
confluent-hub install infoviewsystems/kafka-connect-as400:2.2.5
Shared.Button.Copy

Download installation

Or download the ZIP file and extract it into one of the directories that is listed on the Connect worker's plugin.path configuration properties. This must be done on each of the installations where Connect will be run.

Configure an instance of your connector

Once installed, you can then create a connector configuration file with the connector's settings, and deploy that to a Connect worker.See here for more detailed instructions.
